DAYTRONIC Installation in 3 simple steps
Step 1: Install the ballast into the fixture
DAYTRONIC is installed like a normal electronic ballast - it comes with WAGO IDC combi-wiring terminals, so you can wire it manually or
automatically. The ballast needs power supply (Live, Neutral, Earth). On the output side, connect the wires to the lamps as shown on each ballast.
Step 2: Select a filter cap

|
Each DAYTRONIC set comes with 3 different filter caps. With these, DAYTRONIC is precalibrated to standard light
levels (when mounted in standard ceiling heights). The building codes in different countries recommended different light levels -
so please check before you select a filter cap for your application.
|
Approximate guaranteed light levels and applications:
- Clear Cap: >150 lux - For corridors and similar
- Orange Cap: >350 lux - For canteens, schools & offices (depending on country)
- Blue Cap: >500 lux - For offices, schools (depending on country)
Step 3: Install the photosensor
Install the photosensor into the front of the fitting.
Drill a 9.5mm hole into the fitting and clip the filter cap in. Then clip the photosensor into the filter cap from the rear.
The photosensor should "see" the overall amount of light on your workplace. It should NOT get any direct light from the lamp itself (only reflections from the room below).
If the sensor gets a lot of light from inside the fitting from behind, then use the black cover cap to avoid any false readings.
Congratulations, all done. Close the fixture and install it.
Optional Accessories (not part of DAYTRONIC sets)
If you can not install the photosensor into the fitting body, 2 optional accessories are available:
